Worcester’s Fourth Plinth project is now complete.

28 residences have taken place.  Thousands of visitors have seen the artwork, in person and virtually.

Museum staff are undertaking the mysterious process of cave-ification of the plinth space in preparation for a dragon.

Caves are dangerous places so please watch from a safe distance.

Collective Unconscious

Collective Unconscious and guests are presenting a series of one-to-one theatrical encounters for participants to experience over the course of the day.

Through use of performance based installation, I am exploring ideas of control, repetition and endurance by carrying out a single, monotonous drawing task over the duration of the day.

Once complete, this drawing will form a visual representation of the passage of time throughout the course of the residency.

Endurance Drawing – Producing an enforced number of drawings.

I am trying to complete at least 100 drawings in the one day. The audience are invited to start drawings that I must finish or finish drawings that I have started.

Worcestershire Young Archaeologists’ Club

A number of our young archaeologists (clad in WYAC’s distinctive orange t-shirts) will recreate the residency of one of our leaders who processed finds on the 4th plinth in Trafalgar Square.

We will include a large image gallery as a backdrop depicting activities from our 9 years as a club.

The Infirmary / George Marshall Medical Museum

We are transforming the plinth into a community curation space.

Museum staff, retired nurses and volunteers will use 1940s invalid knitting patterns, inviting passers-by to participate, and to join us on the plinth to share memories of medicine and health care in Worcester.

We will reminisce, share stories, and encourage participation in knitting a piece of our past.

emergency, shapeshifting / Tomasz Kolisko

An unexpected hindrance turned into a chance for an alternate take on an art practice – as the emergence of a sculptural piece becomes prevented  by a technological failure, I’m offering visitors a chance of inquiry into the creative process as the visual bits and pieces of the abandoned project are reworked, printed and given freely in form of small, two-dimensional artworks.

Our work involves people’s relationships with civic spaces. It often employs guerrilla style tactics that draw attention to aspects of our public lives and the potential of the individual.

Redhawk Logistica’s motto is; delivering cultural solutions and we will create a solution to the problem of the Fourth Plinth using Paper Mache and paint.
